Summer 2011 in Review

So, I thought I would just sum up the summer with some pictures.
Tristyn and I really enjoyed the past couple of months.
We were very active almost everyday.
The Hobart Librarians know us by name.
Tristyn read 54 summer reading books
And that's not counting the times we read the same book more than once!
Here's a brief rundown of what else we did...

Tristyn's 3rd birthday party at Wicker Park!
Jimmy Johns and princess balloons that flew away.
It was FREEZING that day. Craziness.

Most amazing Ariel cake made by Rita Drolen.

We went to West Beach with the cousins!

New boots, umbrella and raincoat and hat from Auntie Julie and Uncle Brian.

Tristyn learned how to wink!

Spent 4th of July at the Verpooten's house.
Soooo much fun.
Pool, boat, food, fireworks...could you ask for anything more?

The two of us went out to the Michigan City Zoo and the Lighthouse Mall.

She played Hide and Seek behind my wonderful weeds...aka poison ivy of death.

We caught a toad and named him....Toad Froggie.

He lived in our cooler on our deck for a week.

He ate bologna for lunch.

Then we let him go back to his family.

We had a campfire and made Smores.
Tristyn now asks to eat marshmellows for breakfast.

We went swimming in her pool.
It was 104 degrees out.
I had goosebumps.
Tristyn wanted hot chocolate when we came inside.

I went to Ball State for a week for Journalism Camp with 20 something kids.
Learned a lot...froze my butt off
But we now have a news website.

Celebrated Grandma's birthday with family!

She learned to swim at the Verpooten's house!
She was an expert by the time we got to Wisconsin.

Visited the zoo in Madison with Michelle, Colette and Simone.

Rode the Merry-go-round at the zoo with Coco.

And even got a new Build A Bear named Daisy.

We had an awesome summer together.

By the second week in August we were both ready to go back to school though.

She was ready to see her friends

And I was ready to get back to business.
