Am I getting old or what? What ever happened to the days when I would sleep in until noon and just lay around in my pajamas all day? This morning we were up at 6:30 so that we could judge the Media Fair at one of the elementary schools in the area. Judging photo essays from kids ranging from third through eighth grade was rough. Especially when their parents were all standing around the room staring at us while we tabulated the scores. Geeze.
We went and picked up my mom and took her out to dinner for Valentine's Day. After that we suprised her and took her for her first pedicure. Yes...my lesbian partner and I took my mother out for a pedicure. I just hope my mom sees that we can still do "girlie" things together. I love her to death. I'm so proud of her. She has become so much more accepting of who I am and she is just so loving. I hope she knows that I love her so much.
