The other night Tristyn and I were reading a book before bed.
In the book there was a bird
And of course I called it a "birdy teek a weet."
That is what she used to call them when she was little.
After I read it, Tristyn said, "Mommy don't say that."
"Say what?"
"Birdy teek a weet? Why?"
"Because...it's annoying."
My kid called me annoying!
I busted out laughing because she actually used the word "annoying" correctly.
And because I'm sure this will be the first of many, many, many times
When she calls me annoying.
