Glinda, The Lion, The Scarecrow, The Robot And The Big, Round Tree

Holy Cow I haven't written in a long time.
School and home are just sooo busy!
Let's see...what's new?

Halloween construction has begun.
Huge party on Oct. 29.
Everyone is welcome.
Unless you are under 21.
Haunted backyard and everything.
We had lightening and thunder.
We had a cemetary.
We had a burning shed.
This year we have an 18 foot gallow.
A guillotine (sp?).
Even an electric chair.
They are so crazy.

Kids are doing good.
Ashlee has made some friends finally.
Leslee is getting cocky and popular.
She finally did a back handspring by herself!
BJ loves going to two kindergartens.
He had to write 10 times last night...
I will not put my feet on the furniture.
He just thought it was ok to kick back and relax!
He also got a strike at his other school
For doing ballet when he was supposed to be getting his folder ready.

The kids love the musical Wicked.
They have never seen it.
We have the soundtrack in every car and they each have a copy.
BJ's favorite song is Popular and Thank Goodness...number 7 and 12.
Oh and Emerald City...number 9.
He loves the end of that song.
We sat down on Sunday and watched The Wizard of Oz as a family.
Leslee says..."That background is so fake. They probably used a blue screen."
Ashlee was freaked out by the munchkins.
BJ loved when Dorthy smacked the Lion on the nose.

We were discussing Halloween costumes at dinner the other night.
I suggested we all go as Wizard of Oz characters.
BJ got VERY excited.
He said, "Ohhh! I will be Glinda and you can be the scarecrow....
Leslee can be the lion and Ash can be the ROBOT...
And Mom...you can be the BIG, ROUND tree that throws apples at Dorthy.
I thought I was going to pee in my pants.
He then changed his mind and told Tammy she could be a flying monkey.
It was sooo funny.
It also cracked me up that he thought the Tin Man was a robot.
Sign of our times.
We were also reading a book the other night and there was a record player in it.
I asked him if he knew what it was.
He said yeah...they had one in preschool...
You just put the CD on there and it spins and you put the needle on it.
Again...I died laughing.

The kicker of all.
Playing Cranium with Ashlee a couple weeks ago.
She has to draw "tripod".
She tells Tammy she didn't know what that was.
She said she knew what the "I" one was though.
OMG...an IPOD!!!
These kids are killing me.

Until next time friends!

Carrie!!! Oh how we've missed you! I am so glad that you have updated! How's Tammy doing?

Your Halloween sounds like so much fun! How exciting! I hope that you get to take a bunch of pics, and put them up for us to see!

Have a great weekend! Hopefully we can catch one another on here sometime and chat! Take care!

Hugs to you,
Sarah

Your Halloween plans sound wild!

The things that come out of kids' mouths can make you feel old pretty quickly, huh? I get that from the little ones at school.
